JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS : NORFOLK : SHEFFIELD : NEAR WEDGE: RE-GRIND
This is a very old vintage straight razor from Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to their majesties, Norfolk N°6, Sheffield, in gorgeous condition from the early mid 1800's.
The blade has professionally been restored with a total re-grind preserving the original grind and removing all pitting and blemishes. The tang is warped/skewed which happens frequently with old vintage razors so care must be taken when closing the razor as to not touch the left side of the scales. It does not affect the use and shave from this razor.
The scales are Sapphire Blue acrylic, tapered with a faux Ivory wedge.
The blade is extremely clean with no rust, chips or disturbing stains.
Near Wedge : Barber's Notch
Total weight: 1.9 oz
